Research. Accurately measuring the impact of one's business or program efforts is imperative to continuous program improvement and success. As an applied social scientist with nearly a decade of community-based program administration experience,  I am dedicated to using empirical research to improve the health of our communities. I have provided program evaluation and research support to non-profits and hospital systems across the country including  the National Network for Hospital Based Violence Intervention Programs, WellSpace Health, and WayUp Sacramento.

Pedagogy. With nearly ten years experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate and community level, I am skilled at communicating complex scientific findings to a vast array of audiences and at bridging the gaps between the classroom understanding and real-world applications. In my position at UC Berkeley, I develop innovative upper-division coursework in developmental and social psychology. I am also facilitate community-education workshops and serve as an independent consultant for organizations wishing to maximize the learning potential for workshops and business trainings.

Grant Writing. One of the biggest challenges with non-profit work is in securing grant funding. Collaborating with variety of health and human services organizations, I have co-written,  budgeted and submitted over 2 million dollars worth of successful grant applications and have evaluated behavioral health programs addressing homelessness, emergency department frequent utilization, violence prevention / intervention and suicide prevention.
